I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. As a young child, I was small. When I turned thirteen, everything changed. I started gaining weight and just kept on. When I was around fifteen or sixteen, I went on weight watchers and lost eighty pounds. I kept the weight mostly off until I was nineteen and had knee surgery.

After that, the weight started coming back on.

Fast forward a few years, I got married and had two children. I was already overweight and gained about eighty pounds with my first child. When I had him I weighed in at 250 pounds. Over the next year, I worked on losing weight and did so successfully until I was surprised with my second child. I did not gain as much weight with her as I did my son; however, I started noticing other things I did not have with him. The main thing was eczema. I was around seven months pregnant when that started. I could not get rid of it no matter what I tried. When she was about three months old, I started having tremors, losing my hair, and was extremely tired. Not to mention I felt like I was going crazy. It was not the normal tired from having a toddler and a baby at the house. I have a family history of thyroid disease in my family so I had mine checked. I thought it might be low. It turned out my thyroid was over functioning by 85%. I had Graves Disease. The doctors did not inform me of my treatment options. They simply told me that I need to take RIA and kill my thyroid. That is was I did. No one ever told me anything about a diet change besides the usual count your calories to get my weight off completely. After RIA, I gained back up to around 247. One day I was at my friend’s store and Stacey came in to order some shirts. That’s when my world changed. She has taught me that the food going in my body can hurt or heal me. After following her advice, I lost 100+ pounds. I have no joint pain anymore. I do not have migraines anymore. My daughter even mentioned that she noticed I was not in the bed with headaches everyday anymore. I have more energy. I CARE about myself.  I HAVE WORTH! My life completely changed. I still have some internal issues that Stacey is helping me with. I feel like a completely different person. With her help I realized I can do it and keep it off. It’s been two years now. It took me about a year to lose my weight and I have kept it off for a year. I hope I can inspire many other people to lose their weight and live a healthier lifestyle. Life is what we make of it. We are worth being happy and healthy. I am instilling that in my children now. We eat to live not live to eat.
